Adult Short Breaks
The Adult Short Break Services is operated from a four-bedded house, owned by Jubilee House. The service can provide for 4 people during the day and night and caters for people from the age of 18 ,who have varying degrees of learning disabilities.
The premises are decorated and furnished to accommodate the service user's care needs and every effort is made to ensure a warm, comfortable and homely environment.

Two bedrooms on the ground floor have been adapted to meet the needs of people who use a wheelchair, with specialised beds and en suite shower rooms. The house benefits from a specialised sensory, epilepsy-monitoring system, which alerts staff at the onset of any seizure and also provides security by being linked to door alarms.
The short break unit provides a service for approximately 35 people with varying allocations and patterns of usage. To accommodate this we forward plan by requesting and confirming bookings twice a year.

In recognition of the complexities of short break care, considerable planning and preparation takes place to ensure that opportunities for social interaction, leisure activities, one to one and private time are all made available and staff are respectful of the service users’ right to choose.
As well as short breaks and longer holidays the Adult Short Break resource also offers opportunities for day care services where people can spend the day relaxing, developing individual domestic skills or participating in organised leisure activities.
