Children's Services
Jubilee House offers respite, day care and needs led outreach services for children and young people from the ages of 5 to 19. The services are designed to fully meet the care and support needs of children and young people with a wide range of learning disabilities and associated physical disabilities.
The resource operates from the Peartree Centre, opened in 2004, and is currently the only purpose built respite care centre in Hertfordshire.
The Peartree centre is modern, spacious and vibrant and is equipped with specialist equipment and facilities in order to provide the highest quality service. The centre can accommodate up to five young people over night for planned breaks and can provide day care provision for a maximum of 10 young people at any one time.
The Children’s Services’ skilled staff team is committed to delivering quality services, ensuring the service user’s care needs are met effectively, whilst respecting, listening to and recognising the diversity of the young people in our care. The high quality of our service is consistently recognised by OFSTED, evidenced via excellent inspection reports
Every service user has a personal care plan, which details important information such as health needs, levels of independence, personal goals and the support needed to achieve these. Each young person has their own key worker who ensures consistency and good communication with everyone involved in the young person’s care.
Our assessment, transition and induction procedures ensure the full involvement of the person requesting the service, their families/primary carers and prospective purchasers of the service.
A Statement of Purpose and a Service User guide are available on request from Jubilee House.
